About Standards Australia

Standards Australia is the leading standards development body in Australia, representing Australia on the international stage. They are an NGO, NFP organisation with a mission to empower communities. They work closely with industry, government and other stakeholders to deliver standards that benefit Australian society and its economy.
Their vision is to be a global leader in trusted solutions that improve life – today and tomorrow.

Partnership objectives

To provide meaningful support for their emerging female tech leaders through a customised program to empower their advancement plus providing people leaders inclusive leadership training. Standards Australia also looked to ensure their hiring processes are inclusive through engaging TDC to conduct an Inclusive Hiring Audit.

The solution

Our proposed solution was to create a 3-step road map:

1- Designed an Emerging Leaders in Tech Program to provide meaningful development opportunities for their emerging high-potential female talent, empowering & equipping them to become leaders of influence & impact to own and drive their career aspirations within Standards Australia.

2- Perform an Inclusive Hiring Audit to allow for an in-depth review and analysis of their end to end recruitment process to remove barriers to inclusion and enhance the inclusivity of their hiring process.

3- Design an Inclusive Leadership Workshop series to guide people leaders from awareness through to action on how to be an inclusive leader, providing tangible ways in which they can become more impactful leaders within the organisation.
